Popular JP Business Club is back for 2018!

Hull Kingston Rovers’ ever growing JP Business Club is back and about to enter its third season at the club as the Robins prepare for a return to the Betfred Super League.

Run by Hull KR’s Head of Rugby Jamie Peacock MBE to provide members with a unique insight into the world of elite sport, the club has gone from strength to strength over the last 24 months whilst providing unparalleled access to the goings on at KCOM Craven Park.

Last season, JP Business Club members had the opportunity to witness the club’s promotion-winning campaign from behind closed doors, with the club now set to return for 2018 with six more exclusive events organised by Peacock and Rovers’ commercial department.

With the majority of current members already signed up once again for this year, the JP Business Club is now open to new members who’d like to see what all the fuss is about!

Speaking to, Peacock said: “It’s been an incredible journey for everybody involved over the past two years, incorporating a relegation and a promotion back to Super League, and I hope our get-togethers have helped provide some insight on what’s been going on behind the scenes as we’ve attempted to take the club forwards throughout the good times and also the more challenging ones.

“The JP Business Club has been a brand new project for Hull Kingston Rovers and our thanks go out to everybody for helping to make it such a success, both in growing the numbers and ensuring that the networking aspect of the scheme has resulted in some real tangible business gains and partnerships.

“That’s been really important because whilst we want our members to enjoy themselves and benefit from some of the lessons that sport can provide in the business world, we don’t want to lose sight of that networking potential. It’s not networking in the usual sense, it’s about using our events and the excitement and passion of rugby league to bring our members closer together, and several businesses who have been involved have reported high five-figure profits just from their work with other JP Business Club members last season alone.

“I would like to think that what we achieved together in 2017 was an improvement on our first year with the JP Business Club and it’s our aim to take further steps forward in 2018 once again.”

With the scheme now about to enter its third season at Rovers, Peacock and the commercial department have been busy preparing for six more exclusive events for business club members over the coming months, starting in February.

The action will get underway with a “Night of Legends” event on Friday, 16th February before “The Night before the Derby” ahead of the club’s traditional clash against arch rivals Hull FC on Good Friday.

This will be followed by “A Day at the Races” in early May, before three more events later in the season including Ted Talks. As always, there will be the chance for members to speak about their businesses as well.

Exclusive membership to the JP Business Club is for one person per company, with members invited to bring a guest to each event.
